Default Anyone Know Where RolexNJ Has Gone?

Appears Rob has not been by here for several months.

Hope he's OK.

Anyone know what's up with him?

I recall it being a 3.1L 16V.
I think most of the hard parts were done back in late '06 to early '07. 5.5 years to put it together...sumthin' ain't right. I'm guessing life got in the way. It has a tendency to do that.

His motor also isn't a run of the mill off the shelf build IIRC...

Having been in the shop where it is being built, and having seen it in person...

Works of art, and fresh pieces take a while to sort out!

Not to mention life does have a funny way of getting in the way... hell my stock rebuild got going 2 years ago...

Rolex wasn't building an engine, he was have a monumented hand crafted. That's how he rolls. Ask him how long his last project took.

Chris White posted this in another thread.

I have been way too busy for my own good this year and I haven't been postings as much as I would like - I didn't see any threads mentioning Rob's project - we are still waiting for the correct intake manifold from SFR

His engine is currently sitting in a stand waiting on a certain vendor to make a part that actually fits.

I think the key words are "correct manifold" . Looks like it was ordered but what came in was not the correct part.
