Default Down Pipe Stud removal

Are the studs at the bottom of the down pipe replaceable? The last time I had the exhaust worked on there was a nut missing so they replaced it and stripped one of the studs. I have a tool to remove rounded off nuts which will fit on the stud but will it come out?

Yes, the studs on the downpipe are removeable. I took it to a machine shop to have it done, I think it was $5 a stud at the time. Well worth the small money in my opinion.

They are replaceable and can be replaced with bolts, which is what you have to do if you go with a larger downpipe.

Cat is out but down pipe is still in the car. I'm going to try and remove from underneath. Don't want to pull intake if I can help it.

Get yourself a good cameraman. If you pull this off, I want to see video.

Pull the intake, you're going to end up wasting your time and getting frustrated the other way.
