Voith,
what on earth happened to your garage.. Looks like flooding.??
And what about that poor 944 sitting there under its dirty cover and looking like a drowned mouse.. Is it salvageable..

944 is covered with two car covers and one pvc layer. It is basically only a tub with glass and interior so I couldn't move it out..
We were cement plastering the walls and ceiling last week, so that it becomes more civilized garage. Cement on 944 is a result of ceiling plastering.
Garage itself is made of concrete bricks and steel reinforced concrete. It is a base on top of which I will build a house, so it has to be strong.
It looked like this before plastering:
It is work in progress, it looks like this now:
Next comes fine plastering and painting, then some kind of flooring. Haven't decided yet on type..
And this is my "drowned mouse" project

While we're on the subject...
Here are a couple from back in college (the bulk paper towels and beautiful kitchen chairs should give it away). Not a 944 engine but same idea! Also threw a couple additional pictures in there to show the reason for the rebuild in the first place...

here's a link to some pics of my friends and i working in our garage, "mancave autowerks". we split the rent, and there are a lot of cars "stabled" there:
* my 944 turbo track car (about to get smogged)
* stock 91 crx, full suspension, track day car
* 80s saab 900 turbo rally car (nearly done)
* 90s saab 900 turbo lemons car (about to have engine swap)
* saab viggen track car (barely street legal, 275whp)
* lemons miata
* 96 a4, 400whp, track car (nearly done)
* 74 or so red, short wheelbase unimog with a FREAKING TRACTOR TRAILER EXHAUST (made of awesome)
this doesn't include our daily drivers, either. at any time, 4 cars are in the parking lot, and the rest are at their company's parking lots. it still does get crowded though.
our shop aint pretty, but it's pretty organized and we have a lift, a LOT of tools and associated shop gear (thanks craigslist!). the last big project was cutting up a miata shell in to small pieces with our plasma cutter.
here are some pics from the final session that got the 944 running. there's usually a lot of people there on saturdays, due to so many cars being worked on. it's awesome having a group of friends i trust to wrench working on my car with me. why? because porsche.
