I am having an issue with the running light and side marker light on the passenger side. All of the other lights are working fine but the 5watt running light and side marker light have no power. I have isolated the problem to what appears to be the gray-red stripe power wire going to the round plug connector. all other wires show proper voltage but for some reason I am not getting any voltage from that wire when it is plugged in. There are no issues on the left side tail light assembly, and all 21 Watt bulbs are working find on the right side. I am just curious where the problem might be and where to start from.
Thanks
Kyle

I just got done doing this same project on my 84. You need to start testing and see where along in the harness the power is present. Start from the rear where you know its dead and work up toward the battery until you locate the fault. it helps to have the circuit diagrams since lots of circuits share power, and work through it methodically. On the 84, I traced the fault to a bad turn signal switch.
