Please forgive me Reno for not searching...I'm old and tired ![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I have an '87 944 Turbo that (yes it is pathetic) I'm finally going to order and change my belts. Gates web site states 2 part numbers for my car.
T-152 & T-107 Which one is it?
T-293 is the balance belt I assume correct.
THANK YOU!

A word of caution about Gates timing belts for this application -
I was in the aftermarket parts business for many years, managing a small store for a couple. When it was time for my first belt change ('86 951), I considered Gates, as it was the brand I stocked. I spoke to the Gates factory rep about the quality of their belts, expecting to hear the company line about having the best quality. Surprisingly, he told me straight out to not use them for this application, as there had been a very serious trend of failures, and that it was not going to be fixed.
This took place in the mid-1990s, so I don't know if the manufacturing flaws have been corrected since then but, judging by the rep's instant warning against his own product, I wouldn't ever chance it. (No, he wasn't at all disgruntled, and recommended Gates belts for other applications. I believed him.)

I would have to say that 10 years is a long time to get their act together. You can also look into the Kevlar belts but i havent heard anything about their longevity yet.

Alex...I don't see that part # at all.
I thought it would be an easy answer...funny how Gates doesn't even know. They have have a listing for an "S" which in '87 was not available.
