Wink Need For 02 sensor

So I'm doing some upgrades to the 951, I'm currently running Lindsey Racing chips, And I will be upgrading to a 3inch exhaust, My question is I have a Wide Band sensor I'd like to install, Can I just unplug and remove my 02 sensor and use that 02 sensor bung for my wide band or will that effect how the engine runs with no O2?

In short, no. The exhaust temps can get too hot in that position for a wideband sensor, so you want to put it after the turbo (and before any catalytic converter if you have one). If you search, you can find pictures showing where most people put their wideband near the starter. The car's computer also needs the factory O2 sensor so that it can fine tune fuel for fuel economy, idle/cruise quality, and emissions.

You can leave the factory O2 in place, and use the 0-1v output from your wideband (if it's a smart wideband, it has the 0-5v and the 0-1v narrow output) right into the DME.

Lindseyracing website has a picture of where to install the bung. Look under how-to's or something like that. =)
