Default need help with data logging.

okay most of you here use zeitronix wbo2 data loggers.
I'm using an Innovate LM-2

now the problem i've got is when it reads my map sensor it's not really a stable line, it jumps up and down.

When i see logs from the zeitronix the boost line is arrow straight.

Is there some sort of smoothing? or are you using a different map sensor?
I'm using the GM3bar (from the m-tune)

here's an example, the first one is a normal log on a short WOT run. and the 2nd is the same but with 0.5 seconds smoothing.

I know theres larger waves where the full boost is, (that's what im trying to eliminate via eBoost2)
It's more the little ones that show more boost then im actually doing. the eBoost2 shows me the maximum boost i've reached.

Does anyone use smoothing on their data loggers to eliminate the bumps or do they log that spot on?
if you use smoothing, how many seconds is recommended?

Thanks

Paully,

Mine is also a little "saw toothed". I tend to not use the smoothing function as it leads to errors at the end of the boost curve. ie - At real peak boost it will average out between max boost and potentially zero boost. The more smoothing you have the less accuracy you get. I'm using the GM 2 bar sensor, and it actually looks more sawtoothed that yours does.

Thanks for that, i was a little worried that something wasn't right.

when i zoom in a lot it makes more sense then when you open it and see lines everywhere.

Eric,

When you open a new recorded log, do you need to re enter your values to the voltage inputs? or is there a way to save them?

Paully,

If you mean the data labels, then it can be saved. IIRC it is a matter of saving the channel configuration settings. You need to do it in the first window (the one with the gauges) - not the log window.
