RL, I need some help on this.
I talked to Joe, and he is extremely honest, and helpful. He also sent me some additional pictures. The car looks like the day he brought it home from the factory. Amazing.
I don't know the $$$ values of 944/951. I know the 993 family back and forth now, but need some help on what the appropriate pricing is for this car.
Please PM me with your insight, and I understand all the rules that a car is worth what you're willing to pay...I'm looking for that next level of advice.
Cheers,
Tony

There is only one explanation for this - he killed his prom date, drove it into his garage, and never took it out again.
In all seriousness, I wonder if a car museum would be interested in a car like this? What does the engine bay and undercarriage look like? Does it look like a low mileage car or a 20+ year old car?
Looks like you have someone interested in it so good luck.

For reference, there was a 3600 mile 951 for sale last summer. Not sure the final sale price was ever disclosed, but this link says bids were at $12k with a few days left in the auction. You may be able to track down that info with a little effort...

Thanks Tom. I believe I found what it was listing for sale versus bidding on Ebay.
$17,900. Not sure if it sold for that...but I don't think I could find a better comp, color, mileage, condition. It too was a museum piece.
Car is worth more than that, absolutely.

Man - heated left seat from the factory! Those door sills were factory as well but didn't come out as a dealer available option till a little later... They are easy to remove - just snap over the plastic piece and sell 2nd hand for $250...

Amelia prices
In light of the record-setting auction sales for 924/44/68 cars over the weekend, I'd probably contact one of the international auction houses and see if they would have an interest in representing that car. I bet there is a person/dealer/mfg. somewhere willing to pay top dollar. Personally, I'd leave the factory timing belt on it (just don't drive it that way) since it adds to the ultra-rarity of the car. Who among us would have expected these prices:
• The 1980 Porsche 924 GTP (lot 48) at $385,000, a world auction record for a Porsche 924.
• The 1992 Porsche 968 Turbo RS (lot 60) at $346,500, a world auction record for a Porsche 968.
• The 1981 Porsche 944 GTP (lot 58) at $308,000, a world auction record for a Porsche 944.
Your car is not a rare production model like those, but at 1850 miles, it's pretty rare. See story here:

My wife and I had the opportunity to watch as they started each car and listen to the glorious notes each provided. A lot of memories in a short period of time...

Car the OP posted about is back on ebay at $23,999

Without the bra and with the correct wheels and better pics I would shoot for 35k on it...
