From what I hear from reliable source of another forum, they've found another manufacture to produce and we should be expecting to see them back on the market really soon.

Default Porsche Saratoga Tops

They want to be sure the tops come out perfect.

This is for real folks, no BS.
All, the top has been recieved and tooling, etc. is progressing. In looking at original production one question came up. How many have holes for hardware and how many have enclosed frames? Does anyone have a unit with the frame availble in the central Ohio area fro review?

Best,
Pilkington

I did a quick search and here are some pictures of the tops. I am hoping some can ID the difference between the two.

Gray framed. These pics show the frame very clearly. It is a similar look to the rear hatch.

Bronze framed (never seen one of these before, and the color might just be the light)

Bronze Frameless electric (note how the glass goes all the way to the edge). This one is like mine. I never realized it before but only the frameless have the buttons.

Here is a picture of the edge of mine (frameless), to compare with the pictures in the first link Brian posted (framed). Sorry, both my car and roof were very dirty. You can see where the paint is chipped due to the deteriorated seal.

Timing is everything with a bit of luck thrown in there as well. As long as we all can benefit from this I am happy. No more $1000-1500 saratoga tops.

Glad there wasn't a "than", after the "more"...
