I have one of the originals (bronze tint) and I don't think it is that hot. I originally figured I would use it during the winter only, but after I put it in I just left it in. There is a lot more glass acreage in the back hatch.

Are these considerably heavier than a factory sunroof?

I just picked up a gorgeous Glacier Blue '87 944 with the electric sunroof. The insert has some good sized chips out of it and I'd like to replace it with a tinted clear top (I miss my moon roof on cold, clear nights). I'm in for one of these as soon as they're ready to buy! Hell, I may buy a couple with different levels of tint if they can stick around this price.

mr965 - see the glass half full! There aren't any delays but there are still tests to be run and some tweaks to be made. We are fairly confident with have found the outter seal which is a great step forward.

Out lead engineer on the project is traveling on business but should be back next week. I will see if I can dig up info.
