Why not install the arp studs without changing anything else to verify for everyone and yourself whether its a clamping issue or not? I know eventually you want a fool proof plan, but to me it makes the most sense to verify whether just headstuds will help this issue or not. You yourself said no one had ever resolved the posts you read previously.

ARP makes L19's, which are the studs with the higher tensile strength

Also

http://www.a1technologies.com/index_flash.php is the company that makes the H11 studs used in high compression/high boost applications.

As in miles i do not know "broken odometer" but i guess around 15 - 17 full gasstanks at nurburgring and autobahn alone (thats hours on full boost). Excluding the highway runs in sweden were i normally do not hit boost 90% of the time. I got super high EGTs and broke the exhaust "crossover, header, wastegatepipe" but the engine looked fine.

If I had unlimited time I think this would be a good idea, for myself and others to see. As it is though I really just need to get this done asap

That's interesting. You must have the tune well organised. Congrats.

That's a pretty weird post. Referring to the same thread that you've just posted on...
I feel myself spinning in a never ending vortex...some sort of Groundhog phenom. I just keep opening up that link and reading up to your post, clicking on the link again and again and again.
Dear God when will this end........Aaarrrrrrrgghghhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

How did it work out Sid ? I am planning a 3L and want to know if those ARP bolts make a difference.

I will let Sid share all the details, but the short story is it worked until he broke a rod again.

Can you tell us more about your egt readings? What egt at "normal" boost and what at 26 psi?
And did you get a good lap time at the ring?

I feel i am getting this thread off topic ..

When i did run EGT`s (at the last run with the last good manifoild with the EGT bung) i had something like 780-820c at normal boost (GAS 15psi) after about 10-15 minutes of load. With E85 and 22-26PEAK psi i were @ 923c almost 1690 F. I came to the conclution that i could blame the fuelpump . The 044 is fine at 20 psi for a while before it start to drop out. So a new fuelsystem and cooling is beeing worked on now.

My lap times at the ring are very inconsistent i need lots of practice and experience i got 9:12 at the best one i think . Plenty of power but not really sure how to use it to my advantage.

1690F is pretty hot IMO, especially for long term running (like on a road course.)

Yep the high torque worked fine until I broke a connecting rod. I've now learned my lesson using the stock rods. IMO they are only good up to 400 rwhp. This is the second one I have broke over the years. It broke in the exact same place. I have seen others break the same way too...so, no more stock rods for me.

I did find that doing the short fill helped to keep the cylinders from moving.

I went ahead and did a short fill on my new block. I hope to be putting the stroked engine together in a week or so. If the crank isn't finished soon I'm putting in another turbo short temporarily.
