Default Stolen Transmission Alert - AOR trans stolen off my trailer

Sometime between Saturday morning (Jan 04/2012) and this Monday morning (Jan 06/2012) someone went to the storage facility where I keep my open race car trailer and cut a big orange chain and stole my backup transmission.

It was wrapped in clear wrap. I'm not sure how anybody would have known that the transmission was for due to the fact that my car was never on the trailer in that facility.

That said, it's an AOR turbo S trans. It was last seen on my trailer in Los Angeles County (Santa Clarita)...

If anybody sees one for sale from this area / southern california, I'd appreciate a heads up.

Thanks,

TonyG

Did you by chance record the SN? Any distinguishing marks?

Yep, Serial number, I check craigslist constantly so I would probably catch it right away. On that note as a fellow lister I have two AOR"s that I would offer to you if you need one at a jaw dropping price, both of them with serial #'s and also I can provide vin's if necessary or I can trade a tranny for some of the goods that you have for sale.

I want the one wrapped in plastic.

Tony hope you find it and get it back.

Do you have any Serial numbers from it or any identifying marks that could prove it was yours. Im pretty sure they will remove the plastic so you can count on that being in the pictures.

I can't imagine the mentality it would take to do that -- sorry man. I have a blown-up non-LSD tranny you can have for rebuilding into AOR specs if helpful.

He was ribbing you.

Tony, was anything else gone? May have just been an opportunist who saw nothing else and took it because it was there? You might check scrap yards nearby to see if anyone has tried to sell it as scrap.

Wow, that stinks Tony! I'm sorry to hear it and hope you recover it soon.

People are desperate, some scumbag ripped the sprinkler valve out from my office building to cash in the $30 worth of copper. Cost me close to $1000 to replace it and put a locking cage over it.

Ya know it just occurred to me that most storage places have video camera surveillance ? Maybe they will turn it over to the cops ?
They have a few cameras in the one I got to And they have to enter a code to get in or out....
