I thought without the o2 sensor the dme would be in open loop mode, which is what it run at WOT.

what is the difference between ROW and US map without an o2?

No need to imagine. They do.

It is a difference of what signals the DME is expecting to see, vs receiving... Subtle differences for each in the way the DME interprets the signals it is receiving.

A 1.8Kohm resistor is way cheaper than a new WB setup...

AND

Verify the WB setup you have on their now is properly reporting the mixture. (Test the sensor, or get to a gas analyzer and have it checked!)

Interesting... spured on by the technical prowess of the Lindseys I went to find out...

Aparently when the sensor dies in the AEM setup, it will indicate 14.7ish (reports all over the place centered around 14.7... most likely due to variation in the gauge itself).. odd.. but then I dont use AEM gauges for anything...

ANYWAY I came accross a post on a honda forum... giving an alternatice part number for the replacement sensor...

AEM Part Number is 30-2001

Bosch Replacement Number 17018

Apparently readily available from any number of parts stores or sources on line!

For the purpose of future searches, not only does the AEM but the UEGO 1000 and 2000 which we sold quite a few of while they were available. Stuck at 14.7ish means time for a new sensor.

update:

fixed my vacuum leaks. Vacuum is at 16 at idle. Car was still smoking badly. I had a half day where I thought it was a head gasket, but a friend came over and confirmed that I was running super rich. we turned down the fpr (adjustable) several turns and it cleaned up nicely. even checked the spark plugs and they had the right color (finally). No clue why the PO was running that rich. maybe he was runing max boost? he did blow out the intercooler.

so now I need to get my af ratios under boost correctly. I need to program the maf tuner so I dont detonate under boost.

I have a new o2 sensor on order for my uego 1000, since its reading incorrectly. My boost guage isnt reading right. I'm reading 16 vac at the bov, but the inside gauge reads 10.

I' Thinking about going with an innovative gauge setup. Get a/f, boost, temp, plug it all into a laptop and tweek from there. log to a laptop. Anyone use a setup like this? Seems like that would be the closest thing to modern data logging for these cars.

I believe Paulyy is data logging with the Innovate stuff.
