That's the sound my stock bypass valve makes when it just can't do its job anymore.

Mine was probably leaking abit before but with the Guru MAP II, I can hear the spring and diaphragm pop and flutter like a jack-in-the-box.

Anyway, do you guys think this causes boost to hit up to 20psi?

My assumption is that some of the charge air is getting diverted back into the bypass valve (backwards) and going back into the turbo inlet. A pretty nasty cycle which could cause sudden boost spikes.

One thing is for sure. I know where my vacuum leak was coming from!

And what recommendations do you have for a replacement bypass valve?
