Anyone used a GReddy Profec B controller?
I am looking at using one of these on my 81 Callaway 928. Does anybody have experience with them?
Looks to me like it can be used to feed pressure into the spring side of my poppet style wastegates to oppose the pressure on the actuation side.
Having a hard time getting straight answers from those who sell it. I want to go from 8.5 psig to about 11 psig at the manifold.
Thanks,
John

I have one and i like it. It so easy to use and it holds boost perfectly with not up and down spikes. Even in a test in sportcompact car mag it proved to be the best in holding exact boost.
Plus you can have a low and hi boost setting.
It does'nt have all the extras that most newer controllers offer but it sure does what it supposed to perfectly.
You can use it on ALL type of wastegate, internal - external- and dual port, by some switchs in the back of the controoler.
The install is really easy.
You can also adjust the reaction time of the wastegate with a ballance buttun.

Does this unit trickle in pressure behind the wastgate (on the spring side) to impede the actuation side?
I want to leave my actuation pressure right off of the turbochargers and then use my manifold pressure to feed the Profec B and plug that on the opposite side of the gate. My car has a lot of bends with a lot of pipe, and a pretty big charge cooler, so my manifold pressure may be as much as 8 psig lower than it is right at the turbocharger.
I think all this means is I have less pressure to work with as compared to me tapping it in right at the turbochargers.
Does this sound like it will work? It is slightly different than what is presented in the Greddy literature.
