boost/power limit of stock fuel pump for E85
I want to know how much boost I'm limited to running e85 on my stock fuel pump on M-Tune or if it cannot be answered like that, how much power?
I could increase the boost by 1psi and watch the afrs if they increase past 11-12:1 or is that a bit dangerous ?

My pump could not even do 15psi with out getting lean spikes while E85 was in use . If you want to boost it do the right thing and install a 044 and crank it up to 20psi.
Power should be about 11% more with E85 at the same boost level.
Great thread about 044 pump install

Thanks for the thread, if i could do 18 psi id run it, I'm already planning on putting in an 044 pump soon, but theres a few other things to take care of also.

Edit guess you were faster answering .
Anyways i speak from experience i tried e85 before i had the right pump and was very disappointed. I could boost for two seconds before it leaned out with the stock pump an 15psi. Even my 044 struggles at anything above 23-24 psi .
I think he is running 80lb injectors they should do fine.

Love your choice of turbo Paul by the way, its about time people started using those (and the 35) on those motors!
Even with injectors that size you might be maxing out around 400HP...

Well josh (rogue tuning) recommended 18 psi at the most, since i'm running his software and it's boost limited so i cannot run more then 18 psi. I think the problem was detonation the more you increase in boost and retard in timing,
you ran 28 psi on a stock 951 block? or something else?
There's a few people saying our fuel is **** but 98ron is 98ron no matter what brand it is right? if it's not 98 then it's false advertising.

Yes 28psi on the stock bottom end. 98 is 98, unless its old fuel... then the octane deteriorates. 98 will be the average rating, sometimes a little more sometimes less. In my track car I run aviation fuel, which is 100 and is tested as they cant sell it if its less for obvious reasons.

IICR it goes as high as the 3 BAR MAP sensor goes which is again IICR ~29 psi
The other reason for e85 is the ability to run a lot of boost with the high octane the fuel has.
I'll PM Josh if he could chime in on what he reckons on more boost with his tune.
