Hole in caliper dust seal...
I was cleaning my calipers when I noticed a hole in the dust seal of one of the pistons of the left rear caliper. I was wondering if this would affect brake performance in anyway, allow fluid to leak, cause the calipers to stick, result in a soft pedal, etc. Please give me the 411 as I'm anxious to mount these calipers on my car! Thanks!

Replace the seal on the caliper. It will not alter the braking performance initially, but without it, the piston will rust into place in the bore of the caliper..........I've seen this many times! Most auto parts stores have rebuild kits, and they are usually reasonably priced. You are probably looking at about $15.00 in parts, plus a 1/2 hour of labor.
