I'm launching at 5000 or 6000rpm. At 6000rpm it's massive wheelspin bounching off the rev limiter. I can let off, but the tires are too slippery to get good grip for the rest of the run. At 5000rpm it'll spin for a bit and bog. I drive around the waterbox on street tires and do not do any burnouts.
I tried about 10 runs with different techniques, and trust me, it's really tough with the current setup. Maybe if I get drag slicks and launch at 6000rpm it'll spin a bit and catch at 4000rpm, but with drag slicks I can guarantee 1st gear being gone after a few runs, with my CV joints popping a little before that =).
