Just for the record, I did an emissions test in NJ, failed, then ran the car real hard on the highway for 20 minutes, retested and passed in a 951.

I don't remember the values and not as stringent as CA but just sharing. Goodluck.

Thanks for the concerns about the cat and everything, but that's not the problem. My car was close to passing it's just 1 NOx test that is the problem. The last adjustment to the FQS was probably the solution. I have a Big Cat anyways.

Right now the car will not run at all. I need to figure out how to get it started again. I am having a hard time believing that running the seafoam has either shorted my ignition wires, or my cap/rotor. But as it sit's I am not getting any spark from the cap to the plugs.

Check the plugs to the speed and ref sensors.

Are you getting spark from the coil to the cap?

Forget hydrolock, you couldn't get enough seafoam through a half inch hose, let alone the idle screw hole.

Yes, I really would doubt hydrolock as the pistons are moving fine and everything seems dry. The tach bounces when I try to start the car which I read somewhere that means the speed and references are working. But I will still check into those.

Last night I fully charged my battery and pulled a plug. I did see that it is getting spark, but seemed kind of weak and not consistent. Best thing for me to do is probably buy new wires cap and rotor. I don't know how old the last set is.

2d attempt. Are you getting spark from the coil to cap?

Make sure the screw fixing the rotor button to the end of the cam is still in place!

Spark at coil, spark at cap, no spark at plugs tells me the rotor button (although you report it "looks" good) may not be spinning!

the new rule of thumb is dont use seafoam on a 951. u went from a running 951 to swapping/changing parts and still no start

I am now getting spark at my wires. I pulled some out and re-charged the battery. With it cranking better I see they are getting spark. And the gauge needle is bouncing.

I thought I would shoot some starting fluid in the intake to get the car started, and no luck. The car does have about 3-4 gallons of gas in it. So I am friggin stumped. This car is killing me.

I have 9 month's of work into it and about 40 miles of driving it. Plus it needs a trans rebuild after this. Uugh.

I don't think the seafoam did it. It's just a coincidental timing issue. I've seen it happen before.

(Car is fine. Swap DME relay for a new one. Doesn't work. Put old one in. Doesn't work. No tach bounce, jiggle wires, it works. Need new crank/ref wires). Stuff like that.

Pull a plug, and put a little fuel in one cylinder. See if it tries to start. If you are getting spark and it isn't starting, you likely have a fueling problem.
