e-brake cable broke
It seems my emergency brake cable broke
How hard is this to fix?
I can't tell where the cable runs, but it seems to be beneath the car.
Do I need to replace the whole cable?
Thanks for any input.

Here's the Haynes Manual instructions:
(Disclaimer: As usual follow all safety precautions and I claim no special knowledge about this procedure, just reporting what's in the manual )
1. Raise vehicle and support on jackstands
2. Remove rear wheels and rear brake rotors. Disconnect cable ends from brake shoe actuating levers, remove brake cable backing plate and pull cable through brake drum backing plate.
3. Remove driver's seat, pull back carpeting and release the locking and adjusting nuts from the cable end. Remove cable and unhook the yoke.
4. Find place under body where the cable goes through. This should look like a metal plug with the cable housing coming out of the center. Pull sharply to loosen the plug and detach the cable assembly from the body.
5. The two branches of the cable assembly are held in place on the body by two plastic clips. carefully pry open the clips and remove the remainder of the parking brake cable assembly.
6. Installation of the new cable is the reverse of the removal procedure. Adjust parking brake as prescribed.
Good luck!

Does not cover the 951 specifically, but you can get it at Amazon for like $13 or somethin'...even cheaper on ebay I suppose. Certainly does not replace the factory manuals.

So I got somebody to pull the brake when I'm under the car, but I cant seem to tell where the cable is broken.
And there are two parts to it.
The first line runs to the middle back, and then forks off into two lines which go to the brakes.
I would just replace both, but they cost $50 each.
Anyone know how to tell where its broken?

The cable may be broken where it attaches to the rear brakes.Check to make sure the parking brake shoes are operating correctly.
