It has been a while since I posted but I have recently built a methanol injection setup for my car. Anyone know what kind of tuning is needed after installing the system?
Any indication of how much more boost can be run?
I placed the injectors right in front of the throttle body.

ALso not a bad idea to monitor EGT and IAT, but thats just me... I'm a data point geek like that when upping the boost and playing with the timing for things like adding Meth injection...

50/50 or 100% meth you are going to run pig rich without tuning. You need a wideband and timing datalogging equipment, the first tonlean it out , the second to monitor with how much timing advance you are going to get away with.
Meth tuning is very similar to race gas tuning.

So ideally you want to spray enough methenol to reduce knock count and not a huge amount over.
Not sure what setup or quantity/size nozzle you have, but single nozzle is typically good to 650HP.
For stock compression 951 i would think around 8-10lbs and above to trigger meth.
depending on setup some will get a bit more agressive with timing as well.

eBoost2 can trigger meth
in many different ways.
i always have 2nd thoughts about meth injection or nos.
just the thought of a 2nd tank full of liquid (more weight) and the problem is, when it runs out, you need to top it up.
The situation i usually think about is that you're on a straight about to over take to gain 1st position and your meth runs out while on full boost, "Bang" your engine sees detonation... and 2 seconds after that you see half of your bottom end in your rear view mirror.

With a quality failsafe nothing goes bang.....Aquamist is the best.
You can use your windshieldwasherfluid tank if you are concerned with having two containers or just drain that one for track duties and have a dedicated 2 gallon tank in the sparetire area for better weight distribution.
Unless you are running 4 hour enduro races you are not running out of meth on the track.....

If you have access to E85 there isn't a lot of point to this though?
