Question Intake sealent reccomendation?

What do you fellas/gals reccommend for sealent on the intake manifold gaskets to the head? I thought about some shellac compound or possibly just none at all seeing that there isn't any liquid present.
Thanks,

None necessary and I have never used anything but the gasket. Never had a problem.

Why do you want to put sealant on the gaskets?

I thought that maybe it may not be a bad idea to take care of any imperfections in the manifold that may lead to a leak.I actually was going to go with none at all until I thought about this.
Thanks

more, often is not better, the gasket seals itself in time and temp.

In theory you don't need anything. However, with such a large part requiring sealing over a small distance, I replaced my last set of gaskets (where I had a leak, but it couldn't be 'seen') with a set of cork gaskets, and then used stuff from the UK called Blue Hylomar. Every little helps!

A little silicone (aquarium stuff) works on the intake-manifold gaskets pretty well. It doesn't stick super-tight and you can easily rub it off. Don't use silicone on anything that may be sealing oil or fuel!

I would suggest aviation form a gasket its a permatex product never dries never hardens and if its good enough for a 747 its good enough for a 951.
