I'll use whichever is most cheap and/or most convenient!

You spend entirely too much time worrying about the liquid consumables your car uses. Just go out and enjoy the car!

But to answer the question: whatever is convenient, which lately has been Shell. Granted this is in the Corvette which is the least temperamental car I have ever owned in regards to gas that the car "likes."

I usually use Shell... but not because I think it's any better than other options... it just so happens that all the reservation gas stations around here are Shell, so it's cheap(er). I do wonder what the deal is with the "Nitrogen Enriched" with Shell's premium.... Nitrogen in non-flammable, so why do I want it in my gasoline??

Good point! The Nitrogen is like Chevron's Techron from what I heard, just another term for detergent or additive I presume...

The liquids in our cars are the bloodline and the engine is the heart!! For some reason, I've noticed mine runs smoother with the Shell but more aggressive with the Chevron, maybe it's just psychological?

No issues with fuel level senders going haywire from sulfur buildup on the potentiometer contact strip?

Not just liquids. Isn't he the spark plug guy too

Base gasoline comes from the same mix of refineries regardless of brand. The only differences between them are the minuscule additive packages which are proprietary to each brand. The additives are mostly detergents and do not otherwise 'enhance' the performance of the fuel. Essentially all brands can be considered the same.

I use whatever is nearby when I am going to run out, but I always get the 98, as my chip is optimised for 98 fuel. I think Chevron is Caltex down here *shrugs* which I also use.

I have found significant differences in afr, so I only use the fuel the car is tuned for.. eg BP Ultimate.
