Post Clutch advise

My clutch travels a long way, but 'engages' very quickly.

I would like a clutch that travels a little less and has a longer travel for engaging.

With the rather short area that the clutch engages, I tend to engage too quickly and bump rpms down to 2000ish levels, or let the clutch slip quite a bit to engage at higher levels.

While practice is making me better, I still would like a more comfortable clutch.

ANY advice on a better clutch?

If you are talking about the travel of the pedal, try adjusting it.
