Trust me, I looked long and hard. I got real lucky and found a NOS complete set from a fellow RL'er recently, but I'm going to need more tires in the future if I expect to keep the '89 fully original.

Wonder if RL could get a quantity discount on ordering, perhaps order enough for a container to be packed (there's a lot of 911, and 928 guys that need these tire sizes as well)?

Anyone in the UK that knows of this place?
On second thought, will there be an issue (besides the obvious logistical nightmare) with getting tires from the UK without a DOT stamp on them?

FYI Matt, I ran early offset 7x17 and 8x16 phonedials on my 968 for winter tires. The rears fit perfectly flush to the fender, but the fronts tires where 1cm outside the front fender. But they were really phat tires too. Narrower tires might have fit more flush. With camber plates, I could have just tucked them in, no problem. I didn't have to mess with the control arms or spindles or anything to get them to fit.

Rich,

It would be a tight squeeze to the get the 7s and 8s under the 951 fenders, but as you describe it could be done with aggressive camber, and narrow tires. With the 8s and 9s Matt wants to run I don't think there is any way to get them to fit.

On the front the 8 inch wheels would have the same offset at the 7s, so it would protrude 1/2 and inch further outside on the fender lip. On the back the 9s have a more agressive offset (15 vs 23) so they would be aprox 3/4 of an inch further out (well .81 inches, .5 from the wheel and .31 from the offset).
