Lindsey Racing car dynos vs rest of the world
Is it me or their dyno charts seem a little optimistic on numbers?
I worked out on 16 psi I'm around 300-320 rwhp
(ran a c63 amg and stayed with him, very slowly pulled closer to him as he took off 1st. as in my bonnet was at his drivers window. Worked out his power to weight then matched up mine. )
On one of LRs dyno charts, similar mods to me except their car has a solid cam shaft kit ran a 370 rwhp @ 18 psi
What i'm trying to work out is if i put 2 more psi on my engine i'll gain 25-30 hp her psi?
OR their solid cam shaft really makes a difference? even though it revs up to 7k rpm the maximum power was made 5500 rpm

For reference though, I made around that power on E-85. 350-360hp 17psi. FULL BOLT ON EVERYTHING. Stock Block head and cam though.

I have a super 75 turbo, maybe itll put down 420whp at 21psi as they claim?
realistically, id be happy to get 340whp....
I dont think the solid lifter helps make that peak power either...maybe instead of dropping 30hp after 6500 youll only drop 20...

You need to look at where the power is, though. Most of their turbos are oversized and yes, they make power, but late in the curve. It also greatly depends on the dyno and correction. When they're advertising on their own website do you think they're going to use a low or high reading dyno?
Also, I think people get far too consumed with dyno numbers. A car with a lower peak dyno number but more area under the curve will be faster. And more importantly, more enjoyable to drive.

The power under the curve is irrelevant in a roll on race, you better be in your powerbandcwhen you start, gear/rpm. The AMG traps around 115-117 so not slow but also not superfast. The area under the curve becomes significant when you race from a dig, daily stop and go driving or on a tight roadcourse,
Modern turbos like yours need psi, you are not willing to do that so the results are expected. E85 or Meth injection and crank the boost to 24 psi and that turbo will shine..

i won't get to go e85 untill i change the fuel pump and clutch since it won't hold that much torque, But as i've heard these turbos do shine at higher psi.
mine is quite laggy peak torque is around ~4200 rpm but then again i to get 3 psi from 2k to 5 psi at 3k rpm which feels like an n/a. kind if my fault for saying "yeah fine" when they told me tial didn't have any .63 a/r housings and said do you want a .82. but no reqrets.
95one: that power seems good, i might go later today and log some maf voltage. mine is also full bolt on. next power mod will have to be port polish head and an intake. but i'm not going there.

I know i have a small exhaust leak at the xover flanges which i'll be fixing one of these days when i get around to it. it might cause it to spool longer.

If one car has more area under the RPM curve from a given starting RPM(this is from a roll), yet less peak HP than another car, it's still gonna be faster.
The only difference with from a roll than from a dig is you need to have more area from the starting RPM all the way up to the shift point to be faster. Peak HP is what's almost, but not completely irrelevant, since having a higher peak HP that another car means for that instance in the RPM band, you'll have more area than the other car.
That mean's that if you ideally stay in that higher area point all the time, you would win in a race. Ever wonder why F1 cars use such a narrow RPM band?...
