Ashtray Delete Teaser

I am just about ready to make my first 951 part from carbon fiber. I thought I would give everyone a small teaser. I did an inverse cut of the mold to test out what it looks like before I cut the mold and make parts.
I have always used my ashtray for change, but really, I rarely use change. I always need a place to put my phone. So, what better place than replace the ashtray.
The good: I am mostly happy with the part.
The bad: I sized the pocket for an iPhone 4 which is 9mm thick. The iPhone 3 is 12mm thick so it doesn't sit quite right. Fortunately, that is but a few mouse clicks to make a deeper pocket.
Anyways, here is a teaser for what the parts will look like. It will take me a couple of days (because of Thanksgiving) to get my first carbon fiber part made. Maybe a few more. My mold material is cut into blocks and for the medical devices, I used small blocks. The material is about 1/4 inch to narrow. I need some mold material. Hopefully I can get some quickly. No project ever seems to go smoothly.
But anyways: here is a teaser next to a stock ashtray unit.

If I remember correctly you don't want your gauges were you have to completely look down or to the side, gauges have to be straight forward under the eye sight a little below is okay but I the ashtray location for a gauge might not be too adequate.
