Best Heard Quotes for 944 turbo
I sure that most of us here fanatics of the 951, the kind of $$ spend on doing up this old porsche might have had our ignorant friends laughing their heads off!
It is an usual thing to get into heated debates with some ******** over some popular and stupid comments; i.e. why spend so much $ doing up a car that is almost 20years old?
Anyway, there are some really heart-warming quotes I have read/heard about 944 turbos... this one really made my day.... :
"People buying used Porsche 944.. arent looking for cheap old cars and should not be referred to as "used-car buyers" ... BUT rather a "NEW Porsche 944 owner!"
Anything else to share?

Sorry its not a 951 quote but I love this one...
In reference to a Ferrari "If I wanted a temperamental Italian I would have married one"
But for 951's my favorite quote comes from a friend of mine after quick ride
"You know I had no respect for these cars till I actually got to ride in one.."

I too have had my share of people asking what year my 951 is. All (except those who know Porsche) are surprised, as hell when I tell them it's an 86!
It's pretty amazing when you consider the original basic design was based on a car developed in the early-mid 70's!
As for best quotes, well I suppose it had to come from me while taking my first ride in a 951 on a twisty 2-lane mountain road with a good friend.
If I recall it went something like...,"WHOAHOLY****!!!!"
Incidentally, I bought my 951 about 3 weeks later.

"OK Dude, you're scaring me."
- Best Friend of 12 years (self proclaimed thrill seeker) on top speed run.
How Fast? Who knows... whatever our cars do in fifth at around 5500 RPM on a really calm 80 degree afternoon on a long flat, and straight stretch of highway. I glanced at speedo as it was climbing past 150 (probably 145 through a trap?)... then focused and stayed in it for about 30 more seconds (an eternity). I don't know exactly what RPM I was at when I let up, but it was not going to go any faster... it was done.

Here's a couple of so-so ones:
Guy in brand new camaro after being thouroughly lambasted by a four cylinder:
"What do you have in that thing.....I wasn't expecting it?"
92 HP 914 driver after having a drive around the block:
"Oh my god I want one!"
Talking to Corvette owner:
"It's got how much power!?"
After taking my one of my dad's friends for a ride:
"So who's up next for a ride in the red devil?"
And of course there's always the priceless grin on anyone sitting in the passenger seat when you stomp it. (Either that or a scream/shreek/yell of some kind...)
