A-Pillar mounted gauge pod?
Does anyone know where to find a single or dual pod to mount gauges on the A-pillar? I saw a pic of a 944 some time ago w/ this set up and am very curious where to find these for myself. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

As far as I have been able to find, nobody makes a pod that mounts to the A-pillar that was specifically designed for the 944. The BMW E36 and older Mustang (I think early 90's) pods are a close fit and only need a heatgun and possibly scissors in order to make it fit.
Off the top of my head, www.egauges.com has what you're looking for.
www.dakotadigital.com is a good source for digital gauges (I believe they all come in round 2 1/16" sizes as well as the rectangular shape that is pictured on their website).
I haven't done this (yet), so all of this information is 2nd hand.
The total comes to about $75 or so including shipping.

TT: Thanks for the pics.
Also: How did you tie in the boost gauge? Did you plumb into the KLR line right off the box?
Would anyone reccomend tapping into the manifold? As not to disturb the line to the KLR?
Do you find the Air Fuel gauge to be of greater benefit than adding an Oil Pressure gauge? I never totally trusted the factory gauge in my '83 n/a '44
Curious. Thanks.

These guys do not make one for a 944 yet, but they say they will custom make it if you do a group buy:

we are having this same discussion on the general 924/944/951/968 list - I think we can get Ribs to start up another order list... (we almost had them made 6 months ago)
Check the thread on the general list...!

Check the main 924/944/968 web board.
A prototype was sent to keith, modifications made, by now Keith should have received the 2nd prototype.
This 2nd prototype should be fine and then they should go into production. Basically all we needa know is who to send the money to...
Ribs and Keith are runnin' the show...
