Arrow Coating Turbos

Hey all,

Has anyone coated thier turbo with a product like "Swain Tech" or "HPC" or Jet Hot?
There seems to be, after much research, coatings, and then there are Coatings

If the heat from the manifold, and the turbo hot side can be contained, I think alot of the underhood heat related issues would be improved or removed all together.

Can some of you with Turbos tell me what you have done, if anything, to reduce your underhood tempatures?

Thanks,

I have done my exhaust manifolds, turbo down pipe, all Jet Hot 1300 Silver, inside and out. I did the out side of the intake manifold too. I will have LR 3 pc exhaust system on which has been coated too. I've taken temp readings of the intake manifold that I have on the car now and have a baseline to go by when I get the Jet Hot intake on and check again. I also have turbo wrap, 1/2" thermal stuff for the hot side of the turbo to help reduce some heat.

There was a thread with a link to a guy who had the hot side coated but I searched for it and came up empty.

One of the most cost effective ways is to use some header wrap. I did the headers, crossover, downpipe, and a jacket for the turbo hot side. This should help under hood temps, and increase spool up too!

Cost me $110 for stainless band clamps and 3 rolls of ThermoTec 1/2" header wrap.
