It also could be from someone cranking down on the fitting while trying to remove the line. I'm sure you are familiar with out easy you can bend the damper at the rail. Do it too many times, or on one that is corroded pretty bad, and that's a recipe for cracks.

I think you're fine like that. Did they route the return line around the rail or over it?

I had routed it over the rail to the firewall, and they kept it like that. (the one hooked up to the FPR, right?)
