For about a month ago i had a quarter mile drag against a chipped 2000 mod S4 2.7 BiTurbo, chipped etc. has about 330hp in the car.

I was running my -83 944 with 951 engine. It has small range of upgrades, such as chips, stiffer WG, LR boost enhancer, 3"/4" exhaust. Car is running at approx 15 psi. Im also running a stock 944 gearbox wich gives me alot better acceleration.

At the start the S4 got ahead because of the AWD. But when i got the grip and some boost pressure, i felt like i was racing against a 1.6 VW Golf...

I was really disappointed about the S4, but it made me smile the rest of that day!

A six pack of Geritol and I am ready to take on the young whipper snappers…..

I actually have a great role model - one of the regular instructors I see all summer (he club races also) is 80! He got tired of loading / unloading all the stuff to keep his 944 running so he sold it a bought a Z06 Corvette.

He can almost get to double his age on the back straight at Watkins Glen….

I'm getting impatient. I'm still at work at 8pm on a Friday; last night's snow left two inches on my car while I was at work last night (the roads had not yet been salted, btw), and we're expecting 9" tomorrow.

COME ON THROW ME A BONE ALREADY.

Darwin tomorrow is the MPRA Enduro and Lap Battle at Miller Motorsports Park, you should come over!

I'm freshening up my kart motor right now for the kart enduros at the same time, you should hear this thing scream at 21,000 rpm!

Maybe you are confused and he wants to run the ZX14....

Now that would be funny! The bike can do 11's short-shifting without breaking a sweat with my fat a$$ on it, and 10's just take a little concentration.

You have the right attitude. Good luck on your race, although you won't need it. When the aftermarket catches up to the new power train you might. That is of course assuming he gets bitten by the bug.

If he modified his car to the extent that I have modified mine, it would be fun!

Unfortunately, he is not a car guy, and will leave it stock for the few years that he owns it, and then sell it. Too bad he isn't into performance driving, as we live so close to Miller Motorsports Park!
