Are you still only running low boost?

You were driving an Arizona 951 when I last saw you. Maybe I should pop over for the details and my heat shields.

So we assume that he hasn't been in your car though Darwin?

Nope! And probably never will be.

That's why I'm thinking this is even a discussion...

Don’t you have to give him a ride home after the race? It would be the nice thing to do.

Seriously folks – this is just one of those fun things. Darwins buddy has been going on about how great his S4 is. It’s a nice car – but 4,000 lbs is about 1,000 lbs more than Darwins – and I’ll bet that Drawin has 100hp and 150 ft lbs of torque. Its such a mismatch that the end result will be funny.

I always love the look on the other folks face when they pick on the old 944 and then get a taste of what a nicely modded 944 turbo can do.

As you may note in my signature – I have one of the twin turbo S4s. Very heavy and they tend to hit an aero brick wall. Don’t mess with them from a standing start, in fact don’t mess with anything from a standing start in a 944 turbo!

Four pages of posts, and no race yet? I did the "Evelyn Wood" read, and didn't find any information about what happened. Granted, we know the results, but still want to know.

Unfortunately the race has not happened yet. Today was the first day I actually drove the car any considerable distance! And it went well, BTW!

Looking forward to hearing about your MID build. It's getting cold in your part of the country. Don't even attempt this friendly race with ANY slip on the road. He will KILL you with cold tires against cold asphalt.

Glad you are getting to drive your new motor/car.

Right now I'm focusing on getting the car set up properly. Then, once that is done, I can have some fun with him.

I chuckle every time I think about these "modern" 4,000lb sports cars with 300-400 HP and they think they are quick. Are they joking? There's a guy at work with a new V6 Camaro who wants to "race" me... I just laugh and walk away.

I always pay close attn to the new cars at the strip and I'm not afraid of many from a roll. Most of the sub supercar types only run in the 15's.

From a roll I'd race any of the cars that I was seeing up there including GTR's, Zo6 vettes, etc..

On the street I've taken on V8 m3's, Lambo Gallardos, many Corvettes. That's what I love about this car, it does "OK" at the strip but ...on the street from a roll...LOL, now that's the SEX!!!

Knowing my car is just a beater in comparison I'd be pretty confident if I were you.

Have fun it should be pretty easy
