Do I need a 3" down pipe?

FWIW guys, and excuse me if you know this already, the latest issue of Excellence has a short bit about toluene and octane.
No experience with the down pipe my self but I have wondered the same thing myself.
LP 86'951 stock............for now. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Looks like a friggin hot! hot side............
lean=heat! Time to buy a wide band! Im starting to think its a must...........some times the smallest movement done 5 times on the f.p.r could result in a bigger jump than one would think

OK, I'll bite. Yes the nail is terminal. Did you lance the nail with a hot neddle to relive the pressure? It helps a lot to reduce the pain. To date I have lost two sets of large toe nails, yes that's a total of four, due to skiing.

The nail split down the middle ( laterally ) and bled through there.
no pain. think i must have killed nerves. no pain at all.

do you run toulene/ xylene mr. Floyd?
what is your a/f on WOT up top?
somebody told me, ( and 'im trying to figure out why becase it doesn't sound right ) that , the more rich you run up top, the hotter the turbine gets.
i'm not so sure about that one, but it would explain why my plugs are light brown and my DP is white.

A/F is 11.5- 12.0 on top, 14.5-14.7 at Idle and cruising down the road.
Hey Luke, you can drop that Mr. stuff

Regarding a richer mixture causing the turbine to run hotter, the only thing I could think of is if you had enough extra fuel to cause some afterburning in the turbine housing. Even then I wouldn't think you would have enough oxygen to create a hot i.e 1650F or hotter burn temp?? My guess is the toluene or xylene is burning lean and clean. Maybe the amount of the toluene is creating enough water to water blast the turbine wheel?? Not sure about any of that just some thoughts.

do you think the water in the burning of toulene would alter the relationship between a WBO2 sensor's reading and the actually a/f ratio of the motor?
