The one option I haven't seen on the Silver Rose cars with Plaid interior is the "Sports Seat" option. All the cars I have seen have seen with plaid have the "comfort seat" option.

I have never seen an optioned sport seats on any S in my life so i thought why not make one myself. Took me a year to track down the original fabric from europe and had the seats reupholstered early this year. It was a pita but worth it. I always like the sport seats and wanted to make them into something special.
The 88 turbo above is not an S...it doesn't have the 10 speakers option as on all the 88S and 89 turbos that I have seen.

The plaid fabric is really vibrant and has a nice "fluffy" texture/feel to it- really nice in person. I can only imagine how it could have looked back then in the show room. One day I'll get to the door panels- I barely got enough to do the seats costs several pretty pennies. Yes, retro is back in style folks!

Ok here's another quick check to see if that 88 is a silver rose...Run your fingers along the outside edges of the rear fenders. If it's an 88S or 89, the fenders would have been rolled (flattened) to give more room for the 9" wide rims of the S at the time. This is the main reason why we are able to run much wider contact patch on the 88S/89 turbos.

Yea If I remember that material was like 50 dollars a square yard ?

I was lucky enough that the previous owner of one of my two Silver Rose's had bought enough plaid material to redo the interior. Bought around 10 years and still sitting in it's plastic. It has crossed my mind to do a set of sports seats in it.

Silver Rose fabric
Mudbuddha, great job with the seats!
If you don't mind me asking, where did you find the fabric? It seems to match right up with your panels so you must not have had any significant fading over all those years. I came across some fabric at werk924 but it's not OEM so not sure how well it will match.
The prior owner of my car did alcantera on the bolsters, which in theory sounds like a good idea but I would have preferred keeping the stock fabric look.
