Looked under the car for routing of the W/G pipe and I'm noticing some fuel lines running exactly where I planned on putting the pipe(righ behind the control arm mount). How far from the fuel lines is safe?

"How far from the fuel lines is safe?"

As far as possible. You'd want to wrap some multi-layer metal & fibre heat insulation around the fuel-lines. Also wrap the wastegate pipe as well. Shouldn't be too bad since the wastegate should only heat up when you're dumping excess boost anyway.

On the turbo-cooling system, it has its own water pump. This is activated by a special relay with timer circuit built-in. After the pre-set time-interval has expired, the water pump turns off. If the coolant-sensor on the turbo still indicates excess heat, then the relay is reactivated. With the lower-temperature sensor I used (Nippon-Denso) to make more clearance for a larger turbo, I've come out 30-minutes later and the pump's still going.

BTW - still working on the 14-pin cross-reference, should be done later...

Any ideas on how to go about seting this up? Should I go with an aftermarket turbo timer and run it off of the temp switch to run the pump and fans?

The fans are on a completely different circuit and they should be fine.

The thing with a turbo-timer is that it's the master controller. Once it's turned off, there's no way to start it up again, no matter what the temp-sensor ways. You want to reverse this and have the temp-sensor have priority.

Just get the electric water-pump, hoses, pipes and temp-senor and relay from a 951. No need to re-invent the wheel here.

Have all except the relay, one of the pins on the 14 pin (#11) is the temp sensor on the turbo. I don't have a pin in that location on the N/A harness. I need to figure out how to run from the 14 pin to the relay and control it also. I guess I need the relay and just figure out how to wire it up.

Yes, I'm finishing up on the 14-pin conversion for you. Should be finished on Tuesday some time. Check your emails....

I'll include a diagram on that darn turbo water-pump relay too...
