Coupler colour decisions
#16
Colour of your car
What is the colour of your car? If it is black, red couplings would look good. Since you already have red hoses, you should keep up with the same theme.

Ryan the car is sliver.
the engine bay before with the stock ic pipes had black couplers and it looked good. reason i put red hoses was to break up all the black and show some colour so it dosn't look to boring.

I'm torn... I like the visual "pow" of the red ones, but the black ones do look quite a bit cleaner... I don't know.. flip a coin?
the only thing I can say for sure is that I don't like the blue ones with your color scheme.

Three Wheelin'
My vote is blue!
My reasoning is because if you look at the car as a whole in the picture, the black doesn't fit the shell color, or the engine bay color properly. It looks like are a bunch of small black holes in there. Plus, with the couplers being so vibrantly black, it makes the rest of the engine bay look dirty.
The blue on the other hand is still a deep color, not too flashy, but will still catch the eye's attention. It creates a nice calm transition of color from the shell color to itself, which livens up the overall look of the engine bay.
EDIT: The only problem though is that your other hoses are red, so that would be a mismatch.

On a silver car, black has a nice contrast but I like red because it matchs your hoses and it gives it some colour. The only thing that seems to stand out is the blue plate.... time for another poll :-)

well it was either red or black, and i couldn't choose. my engine bay would look close to yours if i go red(which looks nice), black.. i dont mind the look but blue just dosn't look right, i mean i can make all the couplers blue since i've got a bunch of blue ones sitting around.
At this point, i may go black, the M tune is black also so it might work well

Well, the red does look good in there and you've got some red stuff already. It all depends on whether or not you want to add even more color down the road. I like the "color" look is there is a scheme/plan to continue in the future. Otherwise, black is a nice clean look.
I really wanted 100% red, but those dang AN fittings are all blue, so I decided to throw in the blue water hoses.

Matt's stuff is all red, my stuff is going to be all red, you might as well do all red to fit in with the other 2011 upgrades/rebuilds.
Would that make us the three musketeers or the three stooges?

I like Blue with Slate Grey metallic cars but you've already got Red leads up the back so unless you're planning on changing them I'd stick with the one colour as much as possible.
