Question O/T - Ferrari Model Video, worth a look.

This guy is completely insane. Perhaps more than most on this board.

He's invested more than 20,000 hours creating a scale model of a Ferrari from scratch.

The engine acutally works, he even shows the tiny valves and springs he made.

Better yet, the entire model was blueprinted first!

Attaching the video or pic of this guy's model would definitely make this thread more interesting.

This was in a Ferrari magazine a few months back, some UK show picked it up and interviewed the guy (that's where the video came from). Spent like 20 years building the thing. If there's a 1:3 scale human being, they'd be able to drive the car. Crazy!

That is nuts. 20,000 man hours to build a Ferrari for the living room. Absolutely nuts.

Cool as hell but nuts.

Well, he's completely insane, but that is very, very cool. I'd love to have the time, money, and knowhow to do something like that. Amazing!

In the meantime, I'm happy (and my budget is happy) building guitars in my sparetime.

I couldn't help wondering when I watched it on TV over here why he didn't just build a full size one that he could drive. I guess in some ways it would have been easier.

One hell of an achievement though.
