I finally had a chance to test out the car on a dry day today. in 5th gear on the highway, i floored it. a little after 3000 rpm it makes a sound as if the tires are spinning , i dont think there is a signifigant loss of power after that, but there maybe some. I just got the car back and it has a lot more power than before due to guru chips and ported head. It makes this sound in all gears, and it seemes to be coming from the rear of the car. Does anbody know what that could be. Is it the clutch going, is it cvs. It could be coming from up front but i really think it is coming from in back.
TIA

-John
PS i dont smell any burning clutch, but i also dont know what that would smell like, what would it smell like.

it sounds like a pavement tearing sound, i know there is no way the tires are spining in 5th gear but that is what it sounds like, like the tires are spinning against the inner part of the fenders, could the power really be enough to bring the ***-end down that much on a tired suspenion.

Does the sound stop as soon as you let off the gas?

Make sure you do not have too much boost. Turn down the ReliaBoost so that you don't get 2-bar in 4th/5th gears. Then slowly turn it back up so that it barely nudges the 2-bar mark. This is assuming your stock gauge is readling correclty.
