Turbo Intake System, Kokeln the only maker?
#4
What do you mean with intake tube system? Do you mean the intercooler pipes? The Kokeln pipes don't fit with the stock system, I know it because I have them. Other than that you should specify what exactly you are talking about.

Yes, intercooler pipes, j-boot and cone filter to fit stock AFM. see site below:

If I remember, the www.9xauto.com do an air filter converter, but it doesn't relocate the AFM (plus do you really want to deal with them.......?....search the list if you must know!), but I haven't seen a full kit like that from anyone else.

Are you looking for that entire intake system or do you just want to use a cone filter? If you want to replace the stock AFM, airbox and snorkel then you're probably looking at replacing the intake pipe (like I'm going to be doing soon).
The Guru Stage I kit replaces the stock AFM and airbox assembly with a cone filter and short pipe that connects to the stock J-pipe. Cone filter basically sits where the old airbox used to sit. The Stage II Guru kit includes a thin walled steel intake pipe that relocates the cone to behind the driver's headlight (where the air snorkel was), hooks up to a 3" inlet for larger turbos, and uses a bigger cone. Look at Guru Racing for more info.
I've also seen several folks DIY approaches to replace the intake pipe. Some folks re-use parts of existing MAF systems. Search the list, several very good home grown solutions, but don't forget you're going to need a temp sensor in your solution if you ditch the AFM.
Also, Speed Force Racing has several carbon fiber intakes that do basically the same function described above. Wider variety of options (2.75" and 3" inlets). Speed Force Racing
The folks at Lindsey Racing don't have a replacement "intake pipe" on their website, but they could build one pretty easy. They're great to work with and easy to talk to - check Lindsey Racing for more details.

The KOKELN INTAKE, aka on Lindsey Site,,944t INTAKE,
actually gives you a pc and hoses that goes between the stock turbo and the factory AFM. If you purchase just the HARD PIPES,,THEY WILL NOT WORK WITH THE AFM IN THE STOCK POSITION. Here is a pic of the 944T Intake sys,,Kokeln Intake on a Kokeln Club turbo:

It started as the Powerhaus kit that puts a small gauge and the clamp(hold the gauge) that will attach to the front of the cam gear cover. It has now evolved into an underhood gauge and sender to the electronic fuel pressure gauge in the gauge pod. In the pic I was awaiting a new underhood gauge.

I do have a MSDS cone filter kit that replaces the stock box. The actual mod's of my car work great, I just want to relocate the cone air filter behind the head light without changing the AFM.

Ah - well that Kokeln system includes all the pieces to relocate the stock AFM and put the cone behind the driver's headlight. The other parts are the hard pipes, clamps, etc... You might be able to just get the parts that let you relocate the stock AFM and move the cone - call Lindsey or one of the shops that sell these systems and see what they can do for you.
