does anyone have a sound bit of a SFR 3" cat back?
i am putting the engine back in my turbo after a year of sitting. well, the old exhaust was burnt due to extreme rich conditions and exhaust flames=) i need a new axhaust and the SFR looks like the one, but i hope it is not to loud. can anyone attest to it not being loud ?(like, at highway speeds, will it overpower my radio like my VW does?)
if it has a powerful sound to it, i could compromise some volume...
i would really love a recording if anyone has one...
thanks all!

Yes it will be loud.
Any 3" exhaust will be loud condsidering that it's equipped with a straight through muffler.
This is especially so if you're going all the way to the turbo with a 3" pipe.
The area of a 3" pipe is much larger than the factory 2 1/2" setup.
I have a complete SFR 3" to the turbo setup with (3) Borla XR-1 Stainless Race Mufflers (all straight through). It sounds awesome. Very deep & serious sounding. Still louder than stock, just not raspy.

Kevin,
There's a review on P-Caronline that I wrote. Check it out <a href="http://p-caronline.com/directory/indexf.html" target="_blank">here</a>
Click on product reviews and then SFR catback. I still stand by my word that it's not too loud. My V-Twin sportbike without a muffler...now that's LOUD!

A rennlister, Sean Bartsch, posted links of videos of his new SFR exhaust awhile back, so do some searching it was either this board or the 944 one. "Blue S2" also posted a byte of the exhaust on his s2.

Yeah, i posted some videos a while back....but those where uploaded to a friends site that crashed and he didnt have a backup....and i didnt feel like uploading them again. I will try to make another video this weekend with my new digital camcorder if i can figure out how to get it onto a computer. The SFR exhaust is sweet though.

Sean, if you have a white car, almost hurt the dogs hearing ( ), a touch of black smoke, and used the key chain as your "g-meter"..I've got that video saved.
