sure they will twice the price that I charge. But that's Josh and Damiza's territory, back east here in SoCal I rule.

Damn springfield is in my backyard (more or less). If this was a year or two from now and I had more space I would be all over that car.

Ditto. Would have made a nice and fast daily driver and identical color combination to my track car.

Yep, instead these cars will be stripped and sent off to the scrap heap...

Not entirely true. I think josh is pretty reasonable and if he can save the car and resell it he will. He already sold a beautiful stock white 89 turbo.

But keep in mind its a 3k dollar turbo.

I'm not sure what is going on with these cars right now but I have seen several listed very low...

last week I saw a 86 turbo that looked very clean with good paint, fuchs, interior - $1900. Owner said it needed a head-gasket. Lasted one day on Craigslist.

Here are a couple of other cheap ones on the east coast .... go get em !

OR--

Take the second view at it. Josh is helping by providing a used parts market to help keep other 944s on the road longer and at a cheaper price. I was able to get my turbo for $700. The shops at the time were quoting the previous owner way above $10k to replace the rusted over parts and even more to fix the motor (bent intake valves). Without Josh, my car would have been long gone as well, but now it is --almost-- rust free and will be one hell of a car when back on the road.

It amazes me how many purists are created when they get their hands on a Porsche, even if it is the unwanted step brother of the brand.
+1

The market IS, what the market DOES! This isn't about a bidding issue, this is about CA$H! Those of you who seem to complain about dismantlers always seem to do so AFTER you couldn't afford the cash market value of the car in question. It's always been that way. I'd rather see them saved, but these cars are not solid gold investments. Get over it!
