Unhappy Broken Moonroof

Hey guys,
I said when i bought the car I was'nt sure if my moonroof was broken or not. I think its broken or just tempromental. The first few times I played with it, it went up and down fine. Now It won't go up all the way and when it goes down the one side won't come completly latched. Gears stripped? Maybe.

Is there any easy fixes or how much do you think it would cost to get repaired?

There's lot's of old posts on this in the archives. Search for sunroof, not moonroof, and you'll find more stuff on the 924/944/951/968 board.

It's fiddly work but lots of people have done it. Do you have the owners manual? It really helps to have the right instructions for removing the sunroof.

I had the same problem, one of the plastic (nylon?) gear was damage, look the 2 plastic gears in the roof. It cost me about 12$ CAN for a gear. Good luck.
