Sorry about the fire.

Checking the three lines is easy....if they're original, they need replaced.

Put some thermal tubing over those lines, the heat from the headers makes the braid quite hot. Just look at the think rubber coating on the factory lines.

OK so i suspect some wires got burnt some where. I'm getting tach bounce, fuel to rail and spark at plug.

when bypassing alarm does the control module have to be plugged in when bypassing?

Nope, doesn't need to be in if it is bypassed. Did you check for voltage at the injector plugs?

Changed mine as well this summer...They were not cracked at all and looked to be in good shape but I feel better knowing they are new

My old 86 951 just burst into a ball of fire on drifta 944. It had outstanding braided lines. They ruptured!
They are REALLY hard to inspect, if at all! They don't shield from heat, in fact just the opposite.
My current 951 has the lines from Rennbay. They are 100% better than the braided lines that I had, and 200% better than stock.

Seriously, I'm not saying this to be a dick, though I really enjoy doing that , but I felt exactly as you did. Now drifta is looking to repair all of the damage from a blown fuel line fire. They looked to be in great shape when I sold the car to him. He drove it for a year or two before this happened.

I don't recall exactly what the Rennbay lines are made from, and I'm certain that you could source lines of the same quality elsewhere if you wanted to. My point is just that the Rennbay lines, and their components will show a problem immediately. Having installed them, these things are ready for serious battle. Good gear!
