If I install an electronic boost, should I go to a heavy duty clutch and lighter flywheel when the clutch goes?
Does the electronic boost increase the wear on the clutch?

Not unless you start doing burnouts, then by by clutch.

i think he means an electronic boost controller.
in which case i say, if you turn the boost way up, then you should get a better clutch, if not you're fine. the ammount of power you throw through the clutch, and how you drive, determines clutch wear, not the controller itself.

Yes, I mean't an electronic boost controller.
Does that help 'Brian S'? Are you familiar with electronic boost controllers? If not, there are plenty of people on the board who can explain it better than I. Post it as a separate topic. You will get a better description that way. Suggest you also ask for a definition of boost and bar at the same time. You can also do a search. But I find the fundamentals are rarely covered.

Hi,
Get a better clutch if you modify your car. Last summer I burned my clutch in a few hours, it was on a trackday ;-)
When you increase the boost watch up with the drivetrain and gearbox.
An EBC is a very good investment. Both Apexi and Blitz are able to record segments so you can adjust the boost for best performance.
