Post Ever used a car transport?

I purchased a car in the SF Bay area but the dealer that sold it has doubled the delivery price so I wondered if anyone has used a trasport company to move a car half-way across country before? I am not looking forward to flying to California and driving it back.

I just had my 951 shipped from New Jersey to Oregon with DAS, terminal to terminal for about $1,300 including insurance. Car was shipped in one of their covered trucks and took less than two weeks to get here. Car sat at the termianal for almost a week, so it moved fast once on the road.

This is my second experience shipping cars across the country, both have been good.

DO NOT USE AUTOBAHN!!!!!

I have a friend who is waiting for a month now for his car, which should be delivered tomorrow.
Autobahn is an agent for Schilling Transport. My friend has been lied to about scheduling three times, check out the Autobahn thread on the 924/931/944/951/968 forum, second or third page now.

<a href="http://www.transportmasters.com" target="_blank">www.transportmasters.com</a>

I use them for all my cars (I move a LOT of cars) and they're very good, usually well cheaper than anybody else out there (they get 'broker' rates vs. us getting retail schlub rates) and they never use depot carriers who drop the car off at a depot stop and pick it up with another truck.

I used DAS, did the terminal to terminal shipping in an open carier. Over 1,100 miles for under $500.

Used Intercity for my 911 from PA to CA. They are regarded by many as the best in the business and I will not argue with that. $$$
