wow, I dont know what kind of rebuild that arm has been through but .... wow.
Have no fear though, I have a source for new springs in the works. They should be here by next week. If you want to keep driving it until the springs come in, I would just stick that plate back on there for now. That looks like someone took a rebuild kit for another arm and tried to make it fit that one. Anyone else have any info on what that is inside there? Never seen that before.

'Wow' is not exactly the expression that comes to my mind. PLease let me know ASAP through email or PM about the springs!!!! I'm not sure I want to drive the car this way.
Anybody else can enlighten me on what kind of rebuilt that is??

I'm going to have the Fabcar A-arms off this winter when I have my shocks rebuilt. Do these also need to have their balljoints rebuilt? I would guess they probably have 100 track days on them in the last 6-7 years. What would be a good source for replacements? <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Andre,
That looks alot like a replaceable 924 ball joint and bushing. I'd be willing to bet on it. The 924 joints can be cut open and the ball/bushing removed. The bushing is the same size and the AL arms but the ball is smaller and will come thru the AL arm hole. Your arms have obviously been rebuilt at some point in the past. If I'm correct, you'll need new ***** also. I can source the AL *****. But, at this point, you may want to have the arms checked professionally just to be sure nothing else was done to them. I've seen rebuilds where the bore was enlarged for some reason. Please contact me if I can help out......

Scott is correct. If that is a 924 style bushing with the smaller ***** you are going to have to replace the ball as well. 944racing.com out there by KLA has replacements and Ian at 944online.com is having some made also.
