Post Aluminum Pedals

What kind of pedal covers do you have? I need some, preferably with a heel-toe extension, and just wanted to see what the options were.

Post this on the main 944/951/968 board for more results - or just do a search as there are lots of recent posts on this. I changed to OMP pedals because the OEM covers are just too slippery when the weather gets a bit wet. OMP pedals were very well priced - cast, not billet though.

Try OMP Pedals

I have a photo of my pedal setup on the Rennlist Gallery below my sig line.

DH: I opted for the Vosstek pedals from www.BetterBodiesUSA.com. The are a regular advertiser in Excellence. I am very happy with them, though a little drilling and trial/error is needed for the gas pedal. It looks as though By Design also has cool sets of pedals, but I don't have first hand experience.

Is there really an advantage/dis-advantage to Cast vs. Billet? I would imagine the important factor is the design. I saw the OMP online and they are very inexpensive. I don't see the advantage to the designs that cost $180 vs. these $40 pedals.

My .02c,

I would stay away from pedal covers that need drilling and or mount with a flimsy mechanism. Go to your Audi dealer. Ask for 2 pedals (clutch & brake are the same) from an Audi TT (Part#: 8N0 721 174 A 01C)- about $15 each.

They will look like this: (minus the gas pedal, of course)

These are OEM style. Work great dry or wet. Remove the existing rubber covers, install these over (very tight fit- perfect).

Then find a REPLACEMENT pedal for the gas. Remember pedals are a SAFETY item; don't mess around or cheap out.

Once again, YMMV

Sparco makes a "long" Porsche style accelerator pedal. Also make matching clutch/brake pieces too. I bought all 3 from OG Racing. They were cheap too, only $90 or so, IIRC.

The style of the new Sparcos matche those Audi TT pedals perfectly. Not hard to install either

OG Racing - pedals

RPG951S - thanks for the info & including a picture! I like those but wish they had a matching gas pedal. If anyone has a good recommendation please post.

A friend of mine posted here a while back. He has a company called autovation (www.autovation.net). They had a group deal on pedals, but they required some drilling. The look pretty good IMHO, but I haven't bucked up and paid him for a set yet. Ask around, I'm sure several people have them.

I like mine that it got from http://www.rennline.com/ .
I bought them on ebay from them for a much better price then on the site.
The install is simple but you will have to drill.
IMO the are the nicest ones.
Here a picture of them in my car.
