Outstanding work on the conversion!! While having completed the conversion myself earlier this year, I have yet to take it to the track (been killing cones in Solo). Looking forward to seeing your track video!

Looks terrific Jim. Outstanding craftsmanship. I wish I had our attention to detail. My car could use a little more polish on the the detail work of the wiring and mechanicals.

I can't help but notice that it's no longer a drive by wire throttle. Is there a kit that you bought to make it a cable? or were there years that an LS6 has a cable throttle body?

Looking great.

I ran my car at Barber yesterday. It ran great for four laps each session and then overheated (water temp at 240+). Looks like my 951 radiator, which was just cleaned and pressure tested is not up to the task. Of course, it was 103o yesterday, so it was stressed.

Need some help.

Recommendations for a source on throttle cable bracket.

The power steering rack does not fit, not even close. Anyone deal with this? Did you fabricate brackets, photos?

Default Throttle cable source

Lokar makes a universal throttle cable you can buy it from Summit, Speedway or Jegs it is what RH sells but it will be a lot less expensive from one of the vendors listed. They offer 2 lengths get the shorter one I think it is 30".

Default Oops!

Oops I missed the word bracket. You can use a stock LS1 bracket or look at Scoggins Dickey the offer several.

I have the RH radiator and I was sustaining 230-240 at the track (ecr) this weekend. But thats about the same temps my C5 ls6 ran at the track. I may try to work some ducting though.

Overall my engine was running great...until i snapped a front hub.

What broke on the hub?

Also, how hot is too hot for these engines?

I haven't pulled the hub yet. I have some 87+ hubs and spindles sitting in my apartment, guess I have to install them now lol.

I'd say 250 is pushing it. On the c5 I had the first fan didn't even turn on until 230, these engines were originally made to run hot due to emissions.

I got my throttle cable bracket and cable from RH.

And I don't understand about the power steering rack? Are you using the RH pan, the factory rack and the factory cross member? I need more info. My setup is bone stock except that I modified the high pressure line to accept an AN fitting from the pump. Stock everything else.

On a hot day at the track (over 100F) with a stock new 951 radiator, I run at the top white line on the stock gauge.
