9x16 Fuchs
Danno and anyone else interested - I looked up my October '97 receipt for my 9x16 Fuchs from Wheel Enhancement - $1298 plus shipping for two. I tried them on the front of my '86 951 at one point, but they didn't clear the stock strut with 245x45's on. I'm told that 8 1/2x16 in an aftermarket wheel is the widest that'll clear the fronts, again from WE.

Thanks for the info Rads. By rubbing the struts, I'm assumng you mean the tires right? Yes, that's the clearance issue with 16x9" w/245/45-16 tires. Here's some pictures and measurements:
With the stock 16x7" Fuchs and 205/55-16 tires, I had 1.5" clearance to the strut (#1 photo). Going to 16x9" would close up that clearance to 0.5". Put a 245/45-16 tire on and you'll rub. Might be able to get away with a 225/50-16 though. In the final photo, with the 2.5" coilovers, I was able to run a 245/45-16 tire on 16x10.25" 35mm offset wheels.
With a 2.5" coilover kit in front, I can run a 17x10.5" front wheel with 275/40-17 wheels in front. I made a more detailed measurements here:Front wheel clearances
